BMD Interviews Stars in Autumn

The Brony Musician Directory made time to interview one of our favorite and veteran brony musicians, Stars in Autumn (also known as Jeff the Strider). We talked to him at length about his music, his inspirations, the community, and what it takes to make such great quality music. Hope you take time to listen to this fun and informative interview.

His channel is here http://www.youtube.com/user/Jeffthestrider Hopefully he just may make 3,000 subs this week!! We will continue to aim for monthly interviews with some of our favorite artists where we can get to know them a little better.

PonyVisation

Location: Indianapolis

Age: N/a

Describing himself as a new age and classical themed musician he has made many great improvised and bare acoustic piano themes ("Canterlot Suite", "Scootaloo's Adulthood") and culminating in the one hour improvised "The Key of Equestria" and the 70 minute "Boundless Equestria" pieces. Would definitely not be surprised if he had a picture of a piano as his cutie mark.

Notable track: The Key of Equestria

Pixeltripper

Location: Buena Park, USA
Age: N/a

An amazing PMV artist (see "We Will Not be Stopped") who has the made the leap to making his own music. A lover of some of the darker more industrial / darkwave styled tracks so the music takes on some of that sound. I came for the pmv's and I stayed for the music.

Notable track: The Pegasus Who Couldn't Fly

Age: 18

He tends to reside in the electronic trance, downtempo, and ambient styles but has been known at time to veer off wildly in random directions (see "Party Mildly" and "Sugar Rush" for more energized wackiness). Some great original music and instrumentals here to check out!

Quite a nice range from this brony; from great complextro on "Fixing Everything", to the orchestral adaption of the Antipodes fanfaction, to great progressive house on "The Threadcutter". He's come along a long way in 6 months time and his music shows it.

Notable track: Fixing Everything

Colt45BronyEmcee

Location: N/a

Age: N/a

He burst onto the brony rap scene nearly a year ago but has been absent for the last 6 months. Foul mouthed but lyrically agile he's a must to listen to if you're brony hip-hop fan. Bronyz 4 life!

Notable Track: Damn It Feels Good to be a Brony

Peacock

YouTube

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark.
Age: N/A

While he only has 3 rather short tracks at this point on his Youtube channel (made starting in the end of the May), it looks like they were all well-received and all EqD-approved. Some rather good electro and complextro here.

This artist is a "Matthew N. recommends!"

Notable track: Sunshine, Sunshine, Ladybugs Awake! (Peacock Remix)

"I specialize in orchestral music, particularly in soundtrack music that might be heard in movies, films, and video games. However, I'm quite familiar with every other music genre and have debated on topics in my Carbon Music Review series. Site News

Hey just a heads up to anyone who cares. The Brony Music Directory recently lost Emperor Übermensch as part of our staff as his father has basically cut him off from a lot of contact from the outside world while he goes to college (you can read up on that on the thread from mlr). We are pretty upset by this news and will really miss having him around. Also Matthew N. is going to be away from his home and away on a work related business trip so we will have to make due without one of our most important contributors. We will keep trying to do weekly updates (and we have a few this week) so please be aware of our situation while we try to make do. We appreciate your support.

Oh and the Second Chances has been extended to include any tracks that you may have for all of July and through August 15 with less than 1000 views. If you have one that qualifies then please enter it! Tell your friends and please throw some support our way if you can.
