"Maressey is a group project run by Freewave and is a ponified tribute to the music of The Smiths. It's a return to the roots of british indie pop and rock with close to 20 musicians taking part in transforming a multitude classic songs about loneliness, love, depression, sex, and controversial topics into songs about your favorite ponies and our community. Many songs will connect with each other and tell the story of these characters, several shippings, and show off this alt-universe (fimfic style) song by song.  Are ponies lives that different from our own?"

Notable track: "How Soon is Now?"

New Freewave Album

Hey I've got a new album so am putting it on my blog here to get a little promotion for it. Hope you check it out.

Songs of My People by Freewave

Welcome to my fifth album, this time a whole album centered around the guitar. I’ve done a fair amount of EDM over the last couple of years but i finally wanted to do an album around all kinds of other genres; alternative rock, shoegaze, surf rock, heavy metal, folk, funk, blues, and country. Stuff you don’t always see too many bronies doing. This gave me an opportunity to try more song writing, production, and singing this time around. I’m still learning but this was a fun new project. Some tracks are remastered oldies but many are brand new tracks.

As always this is a free release, but If you can throw a few bits my way to cover upcoming convention and bandcamp expenses it would be greatly appreciated. I hope you enjoy!

A big thanks to several friends who helped out on vocals and more: Evdog, Julian Moon, SylverLining, Terolie, Mathematicus, Bloo, and AndanteSkie.

A New Blog For My Music

Hey I moved my old original blog to this new location and introduced a new site documenting all the tracks I've done in it's place: http://www.thefreewave.blogspot.com/

I hope you get a chance to check it out as it's interactive and allows people to check out the many tracks I've done over the years. You can search by genres, mlp characters, or just browse. Again thanks to all the musicians and brony music lovers that support my own endeavors while I try to support the community through my own activities here and elsewhere.

If you're in Denver around Halloween I hope you make it out to ROTLcon as I shall be performing there and also just hanging out all weekend.

I'm an ex-dj, a brony musician, and have been making brony music back in October 2011. I like genres a LOT and have made a lot of music in different genres and styles to reflect what i like (and often with their own pmv's). I mainly am a remixer but i also do some originals, covers, medleys, mashups, and mixtapes too. I am working on many different albums currently to collect my music (first three are out now). I run a few Brony Blogs including the Brony Musician Directory and Fim Music which i helped found and continue to run to showcase the many great big and small musicians in the community. I also am now an admin on my little remix!

Notable track: FraGmentD - Balloons in My Basket (Freewave's Deep Thoughts Remix)
