The General has had a variety of album releases on Bandcamp including this remix album. He is quite a prolific electronic artist that does not settle with any specific genre or style and often finds ways to stay original and unique in sound. The creator of "She's a Pony" (quite popular original along with the Glaze (Wooden Toaster) remix), he often goes by the name Poowis and was a regular Toastbeard applicant (and you can find many of his tracks on SoundCloud). He's not afraid to be a bit more experimental then most in fusing sounds and genres and the occasional trollcore track.

He has been a consistent force in the brony music community, often being at the center of meme-related songs, shuffling back and forth between pony and non-pony songs, and having an incredibly fast and prolific output. His music of choice is progressive house (often with a sense of humor) but he has been able to dabble in other unrelated genres and styles. He produces non-pony club music under the two aliases Frenssu & Kyandi).

PinkiePieSwear has done some of the most unusual and popular tracks on the scene during the first generation of brony musicians.  He has creating beautiful music using sliced and reassembled vocal samples combined with Trance and Progressive House music. "Flutterwonder", "Sunshine and Celery Stalks", and "Trixie's Good side" are all worth hearing immediately and key tracks for the community. Retired from the community (last track was a surprise track in December 2011 and a Balloon Party track) as they are looking outside of MLP music in future undertakings.

Wooden Toaster / Glaze

Wooden Toaster and Glaze are two pseudonyms used by the same British brony musician. He prefers to be called Glaze. but is more widely-known by his YouTube account name WoodenToaster. His OC pony is female. In the fandom, He was primarily active as a composer of instrumental pieces of electronic music, but he does occasionally provide vocoded vocals for songs. He has often collaborated early with other prominant brony musicians (Mic the Microphone, H8 Seed. Jackle App, and Tombstone), usually focusing more on the instrumental parts of a song than on the vocal component. Many of his biggest tracks (Rainbow Factory, Beyond Her Garden) were Toast Beard entries. One of his biggest influences is Renard who he covered / remixed for Avast Fluttershy's Ass.

One of the superstars of the scene. Known as Griffin Village for the vocal electropop tune "Summer", he's also done a variety of bandcamp releases as well as soundcloud off-tracks such as the classic downtempo tracks "I Love Everything", My Destiny Is A Rock", and "You Gotta Glitch". Unlike many bronies, his favorite character and avatar is a griffon. He often collaborates with Mic the Microphone.

Foozogz is a master of  a wide array of styles; hardcore, breakcore, speedcore, picopop (chiptune meets speedcore), and drum & bass, just to name a few (but almost always fast paced). Excellent all-around tracks, he used show samples and fast paced music to form what is easily one of the top tier albums from the scene (my favorite pony album, actually).

KeepOnRockin' / Icky

 KeepOnRockin' is a well known and respected Hardstyle (i.e. gabber) artist from the Netherlands. KeepOnRockin' has recently announced that he may stop making MLP-oriented music but will keep making music under his alternate name Icky. KeepOnRockin' did a hardstyle remix of a well known and widely remixed song by Wooden Toaster (although to be honest it was ADAPTED from "Avast Your Ass" by almost brony Renard (under the alias of Kitsune²)) as well as quite a few other Hardstyle Brony classics (such as "Spin that Record Vinyl Scratch").

A first gen brony who is able to not only do great electronic tracks (see "Hoity Toity's Fantabulous Swirly Toi!et ") but also excels at guitar based material (from rock to metal). Well worth seeking out for those who find that Rocking is Magic.

The creator of one of the most influential ep's from the scene (on bandcamp) and a key player in Brony Music's beginning, Not A Clever Pony creates hybrid mixes of orchestral and darkwave tracks which avoid both samples and show covers for original themed material, based on a single character (Luna, who is an extremely popular side character). Sadly, NACP has given up music due to health issues but recently released the compilation of Princess Celestia Is Best Pony as their swan song and is happy and healthy outside the community now.

Wrote the top Luna song and helped create My Little Remix (home of mlp artists and the Remix Wars), this is just one of many songs dedicated to Luna (introduced briefly in the end of the second episode). In many ways Makkon is one of the most important brony musicians and is part of the heart and soul of the community through MLR and helping create and maintain it's important presence. He has recently moved on from MLR and the brony scene (now becoming a visual artist as well) but is staying close to the community through friends. Still likely the most famous orchestral musician of the scene).

Renard has only dabbled with a few pony tracks out of a wide discography under many different aliases, but it happened early during Brony Music's formation. Indirectly responsible for Wooden Toaster's Avast Fluttershy's Ass as it was ADAPTED from his original track "Avast Your Ass" under the alias of Kitsune²)

One of the most musically diverse artists on the scene, as well as being there in the golden age of its formation (some say he was the second brony musician with Feb 11, 2011's Friend's Forever Mix). Chain has done a variety of work (that like most of the brony community) is free and publicly available on Youtube, SoundCloud, and from his own website. In fact the vast majority of MLP music is free. He approaches music in a completely different way than most others. Instead of making a song based on emotions and past experiences, he composes music with the goal of recreating ideas and objects with musical sound.

This track was a sarcastic reply to Renard's accusations of RD's tomboy behavior (accusing her of being gay).

Eurobeat Brony

One of the more visible and popular artists AS well as basically the originating point for the brony music scene, this artist is centered around Eurobeat instrumental recreations of the show's many songs. He has released 2 albums at this point, there is also a disc of alternative versions that exists as well, and another disc of "bootlegged" remixes of these tracks with the show's accapella's added by FluttershyElsa. Eurobeat Brony was already a massive fan and producer of Eurobeat music before discovering MLP and quickly became one of the first musicians (if not the first one) in making brony music. .

Alex S is an American dubstep producer known among the brony music community for his professional-quality production and his melodic approach to aggressive bass music, as well as his key remixes of Daniel Ingram's music for the first season of FiM. Alex released his first pony remix (Cutie Mark Crusaders -Dubstep Remix) in April 2011 and was soon recognized by not only the fresh new brony community, but other electronic producers and DJs. While he has stopped producing pony-related tracks in 2012 (except for several VIP remixes of his earlier tracks), the majority of his fans are still bronies, as his post-FiM content consists only of a few small-label remixes and the self-released EP Life As We Know It.

It's a also a hub to other great brony music sites and is artist-focused so that you can be familiar with their work and what makes them unique, listen to a sampling of their music, and find links to all their many sites. The MLP music community is so large that we need more music focused sites to emerge and assist everyone, and that's the concept behind this blog.
